Thought I’d get a description of the plans for the June event up. Dates are June 8th at noon until 6pm on June 11th. The $200 fee includes accommodations and basic meals. I’m gluten intolerant so there will usually be a gf option at each meal. Please let me know if you have other dietary restrictions. Everyone should bring their favorite drinks and snacks to share as I’m sure we may want more than the 3 basic meals.
Thursdays evening meal will be an easy soup / salad option so anyone who wants to can carpool to the Deep Valley Quilters Guild meeting. The speaker will be Melanie Greseth, a local distributor for Tilda’s quilt designs and fabric.
Friday will be a work horse of a day. If anyone wants to run into Mankato and hit the quilt store we can do that. The day will be mixed with some good food and ending with a movie on the projector and / or time outdoors around the fire pit. Each person has a large table with an Ott light in the 40′ by 40′ work area.
Saturday we have an option for a massage. There is a lady who works with the red barn retreat center who will come and do 30, 45 or 60 minute massages for $30 , $45, or $60. Massages do need to be booked by the 17th of this month and you will pay her in cash or check when she comes.
Sunday I can point you towards a church if you’d like or you are welcome to join me for some praise and worship music before we get busy again. We have to be cleared out by 6 so my plan will be to shut my projects down and clean by late afternoon. I can’t wait to meet the ones of you that I haven’t met!
Bring an Iron and board or mat if you have one that’s easy to transport. We will have several set up for sharing also. There is a shower in each of the 3 bathrooms but I believe we need to bring our own towels. The beds are made up with adorable quilts in each room. Let me know if you want to be roomed with someone otherwise I’ll have rooms assigned when you get there. There is a dumbwaiter for helping to transport items and suitcases and sewing machines up the stairs.
